10th International Day of Yoga celebrated at Damsna Picnic Spot.
Kargil, June 21, 2024: Nehru Yuva Kendra Kargil in collaboration with Government Higher Secondary School, Biama Purtikchey, today celebrated the 10th International Day of Yoga at Damsna Picnic Spot.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of Govt. Hr. Sec. School Biama Purtikchey, Govt. HSS Panikhar, youth club members of NYK and ex- National Youth volunteers.
Abdul Hadi, Councilor LAHDC Kargil, graced the occasion as the chief guest. His presence along with other distinguished guests Ajaz Hussain, Principal HSS Biama Prtikchey, Ishaq ZEPO Taisuru , staff members of GHSS Panikhar, staff of PHC Panikhar and staff member of Rural Department Taisuru added significant value to the event.
Their participation highlighted the collective commitment to promote wellness. The event
kicked off with a series of yoga sessions led by yoga instructor Ahmad ReK MS Gialing and Reyaz Ahmad ReK MS Biamachan, who guided participants through various Asanas and breathing exercises. These activities were aimed at enhancing physical and mental well-being.
This year’s theme of Yoga for self and society, emphasizes that yoga not only improves personal health but also contributes to social well-being.
The collaborative effort between Nehru Yuva Kendra and Government Higher Secondary School, Biama Purtikchey received appreciation from attendees for organizing an enriching event that promoted health awareness.
