15th National Voters’ Day 2025 celebrated in Kargil.
Kargil, January 25, 2025: District Election Officer/Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Shrikant Suse today attended the celebration of 15th National Voters’ Day (NVD) 2025 as chief guest here at Biamathang, Kargil.
On the occasion, Executive Engineer PMGSY, CEO Kargil/ Nodal Officer ELC, ARTO Kargil, AD FCS&CA Kargil, AD Information Kargil, Deputy District Election Officer Kargil, AERO/Tehsildar Kargil, officers from Youth Services & Sports Department Kargil and other officers attended the event.
The event commenced with the National Anthem, followed by a welcome speech by Core Member SVEEP Kargil, Anwar Hussain. The Deputy District Election Officer, Mohd Ibrahim administered the Voter’s Day Pledge.
An exhibition Ice Hockey match was played between SVEEP-11 and ELC-11 Teams, with the ELC Team emerging victorious with a score of 1-0. Prizes were distributed among the winners and runners-up.
Addressing the audience, DC Kargil said that National Voters’ Day aims to promote a free and fair election process without being influenced by social, race, economic and religious status.
He further emphasized on full proof formation of the voter list. He appreciated the role of SVEEP Kargil, the Election Cell Kargil and other departments for their significant contributions to ensuring an inclusive and accurate electoral process.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of voters in a democratic setup, highlighting their crucial role in shaping the country’s future.
DC Kargil handed over Electoral Photo Identity Cards (EPICs) among newly enrolled voters. He also felicitated AEROs and BLO for their exemplary work.
The theme for National Voter’s Day 2025 is ‘Nothing Like Voting, I Vote For Sure’ is a continuation of last year’s theme. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Jaffar Ali, SVEEP member. Mohd Ibrahim Shoqi conducted the program proceedings.
