3-day Intramural Table Tennis Tournament concludes at GMDC Zanskar.

Kargil, August 02, 2023: The three-day Intramural Table Tennis Tournament concluded today at Government Degree College Zanskar.
More than 25 players from all semesters were registered in both men’s and women’s singles and doubles games. All the players were distributed among four teams – Omasila, Shingkula, Penzila and Singayla.
The tournament was flagged off by Prof. (Dr.) Ashok K Sharma, Registrar UoL on July 31 during his visit to the GMDC Zanskar.
A thrilling final match of the men’s single was played between Team Shingkula and Penzila wherein Rigzin Dorjay of Team Penzila declared the winner.
In women’s singles Zafina Akhtar of Team Shingkula won the final match against Tsering Dolma of Team Omasila.
Similarly, the final match in Men’s doubles was played between Omasila and Penzila team. Rigzin Phuntsok and Chhimet Namgyal of Omasila team won the final match against Team Penzila.
In women’s doubles, Tsering Dolma and Rokhsana Parveen of team Omasila were the winners. Certificates were distributed among the participants while trophies and certificates were awarded to the winners.
All the games played smoothly under the guidance of Mustafa Ali, Physical Education Department, who also acted as referee.
In the end, Mustafa Ali extended his congratulations to the players and expressed gratitude to I/C principal of the college for their logistic support in ensuring the seamless organization of the tournament.
