7-day handloom exhibition concludes in Kargil.
Kargil, 14th August 2024: The seven-day Handloom Day Exhibition organized by Handloom Department successfully concluded today at Hussaini Park, Kargil.
During the closing ceremony, Superintendent Handloom Kargil, Hawa Bee, distributed certificates of appreciation among the artisans, recognising their dedication and skills in preserving the region’s cultural heritage.
Senior Assistant Handloom, Baqir Khan expressed his gratitude to all participants for their active involvement throughout the exhibition.
He highlighted the importance of such events in promoting local crafts and encouraged artisans to take part in future activities to further hone their skills and showcase their work to a broader audience.
The participants also thanked the department for organizing such events and giving them an opportunity to sell their hand made products and to enhance their economy. During the event, handloom and handicrafts staff, artisans and the general public were present.
