GMDC Zanskar celebrates World Menstrual Hygiene Day.

Kargil, May 28, 2023: Government Model Degree College, Zanskar today celebrated World Menstrual Hygiene Day in which girl students participated.
Principal MNM Shabani informed the students about menstrual hygiene and cautioned them about the use of unscientific and unhygienic materials during their menstrual circle.
Notably, the college has installed sanitary vending machine and incinerator in the college and girl students will be provided free sanitary pads. The incinerator will scientifically decompose the solid waste thereby keeping the environment and campus pollution-free.
The students were acquainted with the use of machine and scientifically decomposing through the incinerator. The girl students welcomed the novel step and appreciated the College Administration for the same.
The sanitary vending machine and incinerator were installed on the directions of Commissioner Secretary Higher Education, Padma Angmo to promote safe and hygienic-sanitary practices among girl students.
