Week-long educational tour organized by GMDC Zanskar concludes.

Kargil, Sep 27, 2023: Government Model Degree College, Zanskar, concluded its week-long educational and exposure tour to different Sub-Divisions within the Kargil District today.
The tour began on September 22 and concluded today, on September 27. This educational journey was thoughtfully crafted to enhance students’ knowledge by delving into the historical aspects of the regions and providing valuable insights into the local flora and fauna.
Throughout the tour, which encompassed regions such as Sankoo, Drass, and Chiktan Subdivision, students were fully engaged in a diverse learning experience. This encompassed enlightening field trips, expert talks, visits to historical landmarks, agricultural sites, and revered religious places.
The array of activities was designed with the aim of offering students a comprehensive understanding and exploration of the region’s rich heritage, culture, and biodiversity.
On the final day of the tour, the students gathered medicinal plants in Parkachik and also paid a visit to the Rangdum Monastery.
The students conveyed their heartfelt gratitude to Mohd Ishaq, Principal, GMDC Zanskar, for his exceptional efforts in organizing this educational journey.
The college administration also extended their appreciation to the Assistant Director of Tourism in Kargil and the Principal of GDC, Kargil, for their invaluable assistance in arranging accommodation at various locations during the tour.
