CEC Kargil felicitates boy students who represented Kargil in various states of India.

Kargil, November 05: Chairman and Chief Executive Councilor, Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, today warmly welcomed boy students of Kargil, who represented their homeland in various states across India.
In a heartwarming ceremony, the Executive Councillor, Education, Zakir Hussain, EC, Tourism, Kacho Mohd Feroz Khan, EC, Information, Er Punchok Tashi and the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kargil Ghulam Mohi ud Din Wani felicitated the talented young students.
During the event, the students shared their experiences and insights gained while representing Kargil on the national stage.
The students expressed their gratitude towards the LG Ladakh, the UT Ladakh Administration, and the Hill Council for affording them such incredible opportunities.
The students also shared how this experience had opened their eyes to the rich diversity of India, particularly in terms of food, culture, and language. They emphasized the need for greater awareness that Ladakh consists of two distinct districts, Leh and Kargil.
They highlighted their learning experience in Leh, particularly mentioning the cultural academy’s contribution in providing them with costumes and exceptional hospitality during the tour.
Earlier, EC Tashi talked about the role and significance of the Hill Council in promoting the region’s culture and heritage.
Escort teachers also shared their experiences and suggested to establish a science museum in Kargil district to which Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon assured that the Council would consider this proposal and explore ways to enhance Kargil’s educational and cultural offerings.
In his closing remarks, the CEC urged the students to disseminate the knowledge and cultural experiences they gained during the tour to other students of Kargil.
He emphasized the unique and diverse cultural tapestry of India and encouraged the concept of “Ek Bharat, Anek Bharat,” underscoring the idea that India is a mini-world in itself.
Additionally, Dr. Akhoon expressed his gratitude to the Honorable Lieutenant Governor UT Ladakh for providing this invaluable opportunity to the students.
He also advocated for similar tours in the future, which would undoubtedly benefit the students and the region at large.
