J&K Bank promotes Financial Literacy in remote areas through FLC camps under Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.
Leh, Nov 18, 2023: To enhance financial literacy and empower residents in remote areas, Jammu and Kashmir Bank organized Financial Literacy Camps at Nyoma and Khaltse, as part of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.
At the Khaltse camp, a total of 6 beneficiaries were enrolled under the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), providing them with essential insurance coverage. Additionally, 5 individuals availed the benefits of the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), offering financial security to them and their families.
In Nyoma, the FLC camp witnessed significant participation and impact. A total of 4 individuals enrolled under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY). Furthermore, 5 participants registered for the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), ensuring protection against unforeseen events.
Beyond insurance schemes, the FLC camp at Nyoma facilitated financial inclusion by welcoming 1 individual who opened a Current Account Saving Account (CASA). Additionally, 3 pensioners obtained their Life Certificates, streamlining pension disbursement processes.
Embracing the digital era, 1 individual onboarded the digital platform “mpay delight” during the camp.
