Training program on disaster management held in Zanskar.

Kargil, Dec 20: District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Kargil through Aapda Mitra Volunteers in collaboration with UTDRF, Fire & Emergency, Health Department and RD&PRD today organized training programs on disaster response, relief and rescue at Panchayat Halqa Padum block Zanskar under the supervision of incharge BDO Zanskar Iftikar Ahmad) at Conference Hall Dagbanglow Padum.
Tehsildar Zanskar, Sonam Dorjay attended the training as chief guest and Sarpanch along with PRI members, Anganwadi workers, ASHAs and villagers were present.
During the event, the master trainer practically showed equipment and how to use them during different natural calamities and explained practically along with the Aapda Mitra volunteers how react and how to deal during this situation.
The program ended with the vote of thanks by Panchayat Secretary Tsewang Younten. He appreciated the Aapda volunteers and PRI members for making the event successful.
