Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra camp held at Farka

Leh, Jan 1, 2024: Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra camp organised today at halqa Panchayat Farka of Leh block, UT Ladakh under the chairmanship of Member of Parliament, Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgail. Besides, Additional District Development Commissioner Leh, Sonam Norboo was the special guest and chairperson Block Development Council, Leh Dr. Skalzang Dorjey attended the event.
Over 130 people participated in the programme. Further, many stalls were set up by different departments to provide on-spot services showcasing their flagship schemes fostering awareness and engagement.
Sarpanch of Farka village, Tsewang Norbu started the program with a welcome speech and also gave a brief description of the progress that has happened in halqa Panchayat Farka followed by screening of recorded message by the Hon’ble President of India, Draupadi Murmu and Hon’ble Prime Minister, Narendra Modi on the IEC Van.
Presentation by various Department such as PHE, Horticulture and Agriculture department regarding their main objectives and implementing procedures of their respective flagship schemes were presented before the participants by their concerned officers/resource person.
During the event, under ‘Meri Kahani Meri Zubaani’, few beneficiaries including Stanzin Dorjey and Dorjay Namgail under the scheme SBM (G), PM- Kisan Samman Nidhi respectively shared their success stories, experience and motivated attendees to actively take benefits of these available schemes.
The event also featured few cultural performances presented by the villagers of Halqa Panchayat Farka and students of Urgainling village showcasing the rich heritage of Ladakh. A traditional Ladakhi song was also sung by Tsering Dolma.
Certificates was also distributed to the Sarpanch of Farka, Tsewang Norbu for ODF+ rising category and Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM).
One of the highlights of the event was the comprehensive health screening camp of the Health Department and Aadhar updation service provided by the Education Department and Aadhaar updation Cell, where the majority of attendees availed the benefit of the camp.
In addition, essential tools were distributed by the Horticulture Department to attendees.
At the end, speeches were delivered by MP Jamyang Tsering Namgail motivating the attendees to be aware of these available schemes and encouraging them to take full advantage of these schemes.
The event was successfully concluded with the vote of thanks, delivered by the Panchayat Secretary of Halqa Panchayat Farka, Lobzang Yangzes.
