    Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra held at Ralakung Nangma village in Phey Panchayat Zanskar

    Kargil, Jan 11: The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), aimed to attain saturation government schemes was organized on Wednesday (Jan 10) at Nangma Ralakung, Panchayat Phey in Zanskar Sub Division despite the severe cold.
    Despite being one of the remote hamlets in the Zanskar Sub Division, Ralakung Nangma is situated in Karsha Block, Panchayat Phey. The hamlet, comprising of 6 households and around 43 residents, was the venue for hosting the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.
    Officers/officials from various departments made their way to Ralakung despite the inaccessible road from Tsarak Dho on 9th of Jan. 2024. To conduct the program, the officials had to walk 18 kms trekking through difficult terrain and along the way the Sankalp Yatra team camped at Chhangskyal Bao (cave) for the harsh cold night. The yatra continued on the second day from the cave and reached Nangma Ralakung around 2 p.m.
    Stanzin Gurmeth, Day Nodal Officer, Panch Ralakung, and officials from different departments, including Heath, Revenue, Education, FCS&CA, Sheep Husbandry, ICDS, RD&PRD, Agriculture, Social Welfare Department, Ladakh Police and villagers were present.
    During the event, the officers interacted and reached out to the citizens eligible under various welfare schemes, disseminating information and fostering awareness about the government-sponsored public-centric schemes.
    Officers/officials from different departments held interactive sessions with the locals and informed them about procedures to avail these welfare schemes and various departments conducted camps.
    During the health camp, 7 patients attended the OPD, 10 patients underwent BP checkups, and 12 were screened for NCD. At the Aadhar enrollment camp, 8 new Aadhar enrollments and 20 updates were completed.
    FCS&CA Department completed 15 e-KYCs of the beneficiaries and collected their documents for addition and modification of Ration Cards.
    The Agriculture Department conducted 2 e-KYC of PM Kissan beneficiaries, 3 forms for registration were distributed, soil sampling of farmers was collected require for Soil Health Card. The grievances regarding agriculture schemes were redressed.
    Sheep/Animal Husbandry Department informed people about the importance of sheep and cattle rearing and how it impacts the livelihood and the rural economy. In addition, medical supplies for sheep and cattle were distributed among farmers.
