Headquarters Assistant to Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Nilza Angmo flagged off the deployment of the Election Voting Machine

Leh, February 01, 2024 – Headquarters Assistant to Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Nilza Angmo flagged off the deployment of the Election Voting Machine (EVM) Demonstration Van (EDV) and the establishment of the EVM Demonstration Centers (EDC) at the DC Office Leh today on February 1.
The EVM demonstration will be held starting from February 1 to 28.
The launch event marks a significant step towards enhancing voter education and awareness within Leh district. The initiative includes the establishment of EVM Demonstration Centers (EDCs) at each Tehsil office across Leh District, namely Diskit, Sumur, Nyoma, Durbuk, Kharu, Saspol, and Khaltse. Additionally, EVM Demonstration Vans (EDV) will be stationed at every polling station throughout the district.
The primary objective of these EVM Demonstration Vans and Centers is to create awareness of the electoral process among the general public. Through live demonstrations and interactive sessions, voters will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the functioning of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and gain insights into the electoral procedures
