Delegation from ReT teachers, Ward and Watch employees call on the Hon’ble Lt Governor, Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd)
Leh, March 02, 2024: A delegation comprising Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) teachers led by Shri Nurboo Tundup called on the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) at Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat.
Secretary to HLG, Shri Ravinder Kumar, IAS; Director, School Education Department, Ladakh, Shri Tsering Paldan, JKAS were present in the meeting.
Shri Tundup apprised the HLG that the ReT teachers are committed to their work in the schools where they have been appointed and requested the HLG to retain the ReT teachers in their schools. The HLG directed Director, School Education, Ladakh, to constitute a committee to examine the matter.
A delegation comprising Watch and Ward employees working in the Forest Department led by Shri Mohd Baqir called on the HLG at LG Secretariat.
Secretary to HLG, Shri Ravinder Kumar, IAS and Chief Wildlife Warden, Ladakh, Shri Sajjad Hussain Mufti, IFS, were present in the meeting.
Shri Baqir apprised the HLG that they are working as casual labourers in the forest department and requested to enhance the enumeration/ wages. The HLG assured Shri Baqir that the matter would be addressed in accordance with established rules and procedures. He stated that the file has also been forwarded to the Ministry of Home Affairs for approval.
