    Kargil, July 05, 2024: A fitness and tribute challenge in honour of Kargil war heroes on 25th Kargil war victory anniversary scaled newer height on July 5th when State Bank of India DMD, Binod Kumar Mishra flagged off third phase of SBI Kargil Tiger Hill Challenge at Drass War Memorial in presence of Local citizens and soldiers from Indian Army.
    Binod Kumar Mishra thanked the Indian Army’s contribution in making India a strong and secure nation. On this occasion Fitistan-Ek Fit Bharat founder Major Surendra Poonia, VSM also praised State Bank of India and its team for supporting India’s largest tribute fitness challenge.
    He also urged the youth of the nation to visit the holy land of Drass & Kargil War Memorials where gallant soldiers of the nation shed their blood defending our motherland.
    SBI Kargil Tiger Hill challenge which started on May 3rd and will end on Kargil Vijay Diwas is 85-day long virtual fitness challenge in which more than 21,000 Indian citizens are participating.
    Kargil war hero and Paramveer Chakra Captain Yogendra Yadav is Ambassador of this challenge. All participants will get an E-Certificate signed by him. This challenge is bringing the country’s common citizens closer to the Armed Forces and their own fitness.
    This is the first of kind initiative taken by State Bank of India in collaboration with Fitistan – Ek Fit Bharat which is India’s biggest fitness community platform supporting Prime-Minister Modi’s Fit India Movement.
    This is a virtual walking fitness challenge which will run for 85 days, dedicated to and in remembrance of the sacrifice of our 527 braveheart soldiers in Kargil war.
    Each participant will go through a series of milestones (Steps/Phases) to complete this fitness challenge in 85 days starting from 3rd May 2024 to 26th July 2024 as Kargil war lasted for 85 days. Challenge was opened for Indian public on 22 April, Monday for registration and registration lasted till 25th June.
    The challenge started on May 3 and will end on July 26, Kargil Vijay Diwas. To participate in the SBI Kargil Tiger Hill Challenge, one needs to register on the Fitistan app, available on the Google Play Store. There is no fee to participate in this challenge.
    The SBI Kargil Tiger Hill Challenge is divided into four phases.
    Phase-1: Preparation for Kargil War (First 30 Days):
    Participants need to complete a minimum of 5,000 steps every day, totaling 150,000 steps by June 1.
    Phase-2: March to Kargil:
    Once a participant completes 150,000 steps by June 1, they qualify for this stage. For the next 30 days, each participant needs to complete 7,500 steps daily, totaling 225,000 steps by July 1.
    Phase-3: Assault on Tiger Hill (July 2 to July 25):
    All participants need to complete a minimum of 10,000 steps every day. By July 25, they will have covered at least 240,000 steps in 24 days.
    Phase-4: On Top of Tiger Hill on Kargil Vijay Diwas (July 26) – Final Day:
    Everyone celebrates Kargil Victory with 15,000 steps. In 85 days, a minimum of 630,000 steps needs to be completed to finish the challenge. Paramveer Chakra winner of the Kargil War, Captain Yogendra Yadav, is the ambassador of the SBI Kargil Tiger Hill Challenge. A total of 21,000 Indians are participating from across the country.
