EC Tashi chairs introductory cum dispute resolving meeting with BRO at Padum.
Kargil, July 15, 2024: Executive Councilor, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj/FCS&CA/Forest & Wild Life, LAHDC, Kargil, Er. Punchok Tashi today chaired a meeting at Tourist Bungalow Padum held between Commander 13 BRTF Col YS Tomar and Executive Engineer R&B Zanskar, Er Vilayat in presence of SDM Zanskar, Romil Singh Donk, OC 126 RCC and other civil officers.
The meeting was aimed to find out an amicable solution in launching super structure of motorable bridge at Pishu which was objected by BRO as the launching support was dugout in the mid of Padum Zangla road.
After threadbare discussion, a joint on spot survey was conducted by the team and the issue has been resolved with mutual understanding. The EC suggested BRO to allow vehicles via newly opened Nimmu Padum road which needs approval from higher ups.
Later, EC Tashi visited Zangla to inspect the ongoing works of Zanskar Development Authority like Buddha Park and other works of R&B such as Building of High School Zangla, Revenue Complex wherein Engineer was directed to maintain specification and quality and also directed to handover the completed food go down at Zangla to their department.
Regarding launching of foot suspension bridge at Rinam and Hanamur, the concerned officials were directed to complete within two weeks so that the same could be put in use for the public. EC Tashi also inspected the stall set up by Self Help Group women at Zangla.
