ADC Kargil reviews arrangements for 9th, 10th Muharram.
Kargil, July 15, 2024: Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kargil, Suhail Ahmed today convened a meeting with duty magistrates, Zonal Police Officers and volunteers of AJUIAK and IKMT at Conference Hall, Baroo to discuss various necessary arrangements with regard to conduct of congregations and mourning processions on 9th and 10th of Muharram.
ASP Kargil, Mujeeb Ur Rahman Butt; ACR Kargil; Executive Engineers R&B, Kargil; besides other concerned officers were present at the meeting.
During the meeting, threadbare discussion was held on various aspects of putting in place all necessary arrangements including deployment of magistrates, police and volunteers. Parking of vehicles, security, traffic management and other necessary arrangements were also discussed in detail.
Further, the ADC urged volunteers of AJUIAK and IKMT Kargil to offer proactive support and cooperation to the administration in organizing Ashura processions peacefully.
He also urged the Police Department to ensure proper security and efficient traffic management during the day, ensuring that the 10th Muharram processions are conducted smoothly and without any hassles.
