Agriculture Department Kargil organizes Tiranga Run, Marathon in Drass.
Kargil, August 12, 2024: Department of Agriculture Kargil today organized a Tiranga Run and Marathon from Mirkhanthang Farm Drass, near Batra Camp, to Potato Farm in Drass.
The event was held under the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign to encourage local people to bring and hoist the national flag in celebration of India’s Independence Day on August 15, 2024, and to invoke a sense of patriotism among the community.
More than 60 employees of the Agriculture Department participated in the Tiranga Run and Marathon with enthusiasm and patriotic zeal.
The Tiranga Run started at 8 a.m. and was flagged off by Chief Agriculture Officer Kargil. It ended with prize distribution to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions holders separately to the both male and female employees of the department.
