Leh, August 20: Hon’ble Chairman/CEC, Tashi Gyalson, along with Hon’ble Executive Councillor for Animal and Sheep Husbandry, LAHDC, Tashi Namgyal Yakzee; DC/CEO LAHDC Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve; Hon’ble Councillor, Kungyam Thinles Nurboo;Hon’ble Councillor Korzok Karma Namdak;Joint Director,Sheep Husbandry Dr. Iftikar Hussain;Deputy Director PGF Upshi, Dr. Tundup Namgail and other officials, visited the Pashmina Dehairing Plant at the Old Changthang Pashmina Cooperative Marketing Society in Skalzangling.
As a key component of the Prime Minister Development Package, the plant is approaching completion. During their visit, the delegation engaged with contractors and technical experts to review progress.
Currently it was reviewed that 80-90% of the installation of the dehairing process has been completed, with complete installation anticipated soon.
