GDC Kargil accords warm send off to Dr. Amina Qari on her superannuation.
Kargil, Sept 03, 3024: Government Degree College Kargil bid an affectionate farewell to Principal GDC Kargil, Dr. Amina Banoo Qari on her superannuation after serving in Higher Education Department for 24 years.
She is the first female Ph.D. from Kargil and retired from her service as Principal Degree College. Dr. Amina has become the first retiree in Higher Education Department UT Ladakh.
Before that other employees attained their superannuation from erstwhile J&K State. Dr. Amina was given a farewell by all staff members of GDC Kargil and Sankoo Campus at Karpokhar on August 31.
On September 03 she was escorted to her residence in Drass with a cavalcade that concluded at De Meadows Drass, where the retiring principal hosted lunch for staff members.
Senior Faculty member Prof. MNM Shabani expressed gratitude on behalf of all staff members for the hospitality while Syed Mustafa (Staff Secretary) and Incharge Principal Prof. Diskit Angmo presented gifts and souvenir to Dr. Amina Qari on behalf of the College staff. Faculty members from GDC Drass also presented gifts on this occasion.
