CEC Dr Jaffer Akhoon visits Kargil Girls Hostel in Nowshera, Boys Hostel in Bemina, Srinagar.
Kargil, Sept 05, 2024: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today paid a visit to Kargil Girls Hostel in Nowshera and Boys Hostel in Bemina, Srinagar, to assess the facilities and interacted with the students.
During the visit, students brought several issues to the notice of the CEC including the need for repairs in bathrooms, rewiring of electrical systems and improvements to the hostel’s drainage infrastructure besides other concerns.
In response, Dr. Jaffer Akhoon assured the students that these matters would be addressed at the earliest. He assured that he will conduct a meeting with EC, Education, Deputy Commissioner, Kargil, Superintendent Engineer, Public Works Department, Exen R&B, to discuss and implement the necessary improvements.
The CEC also encouraged the students to excel in their studies and reiterated the Hill Council’s commitment to providing all possible support to ensure a conducive learning environment and ensured their welfare both within and outside the district.
