CEC Dr Jaffer Akhoon visits Namsuru, addresses local grievances.
Kargil, Sept 14, 2024: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today visited Yokma Namsuru to address the grievances of local residents.
During the visit, the villagers raised concerns about several issues including early release of compensation for the NT Link road under the Right to Fair Compensation Act, the release of funds for H&WC at Yokma Namsuru, and the reccy of a paragliding venue proposed to take-off from Namsuru Shukha to Yokma Namsuru Spang.
Responding to the grievances, the CEC assured the villagers that he will give instruction regarding the compensation issue with the concerned authorities. He further directed the Executive Engineer, SVD, Sankoo to assess the situation and take appropriate action.
Councillor Parkachik Constituency, Aga Ainul Huda accompanied the CEC. Later, the villagers expressed their gratitude to Dr Jaffer Akhoon for his attention to their concerns and for visiting their village.
