Swachhata hi Sewa Campaign conducted by RDD at Govt High School Thiksay.
Thiksay, September 23, 2024: ‘Swachhata Mein Jan Bhagidari’ a volleyball match was organised by the Rural Development Department Leh, BDO Thiksay, under the banner of the ‘Swachhata hi Seva’ campaign today on September 23. The event was organised at Govt High School Thiksay, in which two teams, each from boys and girls participated. The event was graced by the presence of Block Development Officer Thiksay Ms Samina who spoke about the importance of a clean environment.
During the event, students also gave speeches on the theme of ‘Swachhata’ in English, Hindi and Boti. Prizes were distributed to the winner and runner up team. Amongst other present during the programme were VEC chairman, Head master High School Thiksay along with all teaching and non teaching staff, Panchayat Inspector Thiksay, Nodal officer Swachhata hi Seva, Panchayat secretary Thiksay and Ranbirpur, Panchayat Account Assistant and other officials of Thiksay block.
The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Panchayat Inspector Sh Tundup. T-shirts with the printed logo of ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ were also distributed amongst the players. Refreshments were served to all the students and staff of the school.
