Deputy Commissioner Leh Santosh Sukhadeve Convenes Meeting on Claim Settlement Procedures under ‘Compensation to Victims of Hit and Run Motor Accidents Scheme, 2022’.
Leh, October 17, 2024: The Deputy Commissioner Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve, convened a meeting to discuss claim settlement procedures under the ‘Compensation to Victims of Hit and Run Motor Accidents Scheme, 2022’ today at the Video Conference Hall, DC Office Leh.
Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Inzar Rana provided an overview of the Hit and Run schemes, briefing attendees on the ‘Solatium Scheme’ and the newly amended ‘Compensation to Victims of Hit and Run Motor Vehicle Accidents Scheme 2022’. He also explained the procedure of claiming compensation in such cases.
DC Leh instructed the ARTO to provide necessary documents and information to all Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs). Additionally, DC Leh directed all SDMs to print flex banners to inform the general public and to notify Patwaris and Revenue Officers to process such cases under the scheme.
The meeting was attended by ARTO Inzar Rana. SDMs from different blocks of Leh district attended in person and via video conference.
