EC Tashi chairs meeting to discuss preparations for upcoming Zanskar Winter Sports, Tourism Festival.

Kargil, March 03, 2025: Executive Councillor, Tourism Development Authority Zanskar, (FCS&CA/RDD), LAHDC, Kargil, Er. Punchok Tashi today chaired a meeting at Conference Hall, Dak Bungalow, Padum to discuss preparations for the upcoming Zanskar Winter Sports and Tourism Festival.
The meeting was attended by Incharge SDM, Mohd Hassan, Capt Sumeet Pal (O.C Army Padum), Tourist Officer Zanskar, Incharge Executive Engineer PHE & R&B, and Zonal Physical Education Officer (ZPEO) Zanskar and a representative of SHO Zanskar
During the discussions, the calendar dates and venue for the much-anticipated festival were finalized. The festival aims to promote winter tourism in Zanskar by showcasing adventure sports and cultural events, attracting both domestic and international visitors.
EC Tashi emphasized the importance of seamless coordination among all stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of the festival.
The Zanskar Winter Sports and Tourism Festival is expected to boost the region’s tourism potential and provide a platform for local athletes and artisans. Further details regarding the festival schedule and activities will be announced in due course.
