Administrative Secretary visits Public Library at G.M. Pore, Kargil.
Kargil, Dec 28, 2024: Administrative Secretary, Rural Development Department, UT Ladakh, Shashanka Ala, accompanied by Director RDD Syed Sajjad Qadri and BDO TSG Shehzad Sarwar, today visited Public Library in G.M. Pore village, TSG.
The Administrative Secretary, RDD recognized the efforts of members of the Youth Leadership Forum G.M.Pore, who have been volunteering to run the libraries under the guidance of BDO TSG.
During the visit they interacted with the students and YLFG members, praising their commitment to improving education in the community. The Youth volunteers expressed their desire for several improvements, including the creation of digital library, an extension of the library’s seating capacity and installation of a heating system for the winter season.
Both Administrative Secretary and Director acknowledged these demands and assured the Youth Leadership Forum Members that their suggestions would be considered.
Further, the Secretary RDD emphasized the importance of such volunteer-driven initiatives and encouraged the youth to continue their contributions to education in Ladakh. The youth members expressed their sincere gratitude to the Secretary and Director for their visit to village G.M.Pore.
