Animal Husbandry Department Kargil organizes Bharat Pashudhan training program for technical staff under NDLM.

The Animal Husbandry Department Kargil, today organized a training program for the technical staff members of the Department on “Bharat Pashudhan”.
The initiative, part of the National Digital Livestock Mission, focused on providing cutting-edge training to all technical staff members of the Animal Husbandry Department Kargil.
Project Manager NDLM, Dr Asad Pervez, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer (CAHO) Kargil, Dr Mohd Ismail, Manager E&Y Delhi, Rejith R, Manager NDDB, Chandigarh, Dr R P S Bali, Manager, NDDB Anand, B Vasant, Senior Consultant, E&Y Delhi, Rakesh, Officials of Animal Husbandry Department Kargil, and Technical Team of the Department participated in the training program.
The program aims to equip technical staff members with modern digital tools and approaches to animal husbandry management. Bharat Pashudhan, translated as “India’s Livestock”, signifies the integral role livestock play in India’s socio-economic fabric and the potential to elevate this through technological advancements.
The training program will incorporate a variety of interactive and engaging sessions focusing on key areas such as digital livestock record-keeping, use of mobile technology in animal health monitoring, understanding of breeding patterns through data analysis, and digital marketing techniques for livestock products.
Project Manager NDLM, Government of India said the purpose of this initiative is to empower the staff with digital skills to manage and promote India’s livestock industry more effectively. “With this training program, we aim to make Kargil a model district in implementing the National Digital Livestock Mission,” he said.
The training will also help to position Kargil as a leading district in livestock management, contributing to the overall growth and development of the country.
After a comprehensive training the CAHO praised the session and thanked the team of Delhi for providing training to the technical staff of the department.
He said this mission aims to create a farmer-centric ecosystem driven by technology, which will include the establishment of a digital livestock database in Kargil.
Ismail said recognizing the importance of this development, there is a clear understanding of the need to upgrade the software’s structure and platform to effectively address the challenges faced by veterinarians, paravets, and other stakeholders in utilizing the IT-based system.
The primary objective of NDLM is to empower farmers by providing them with technological tools to fully utilize government facilities, schemes, and avail livestock-related services in line with the vision of Digital India.
