Awareness-cum-training program on “Eat Right” held in Kargil.
Kargil, 03 Jan: The Department of Drugs and Food Control Organization, Kargil, on the directions of the DC/CEO LAHDC, Kargil, Shrikant Suse, today organized an awareness-cum-training program on “Eat Right” for ANM and ASHA workers at Conference Hall, Baroo, Kargil.
The program was aimed to train 128 ANMs, and ASHAs about maintaining healthy lifestyle and promoting proper nutrition practices within their communities.
During the program, many topics were covered relevant to maternal and child health, nutrition during pregnancy, balanced diet, complementary feeding, and the significance of fortification in promoting overall well-being.
The event was unfolded in inauguration session, Food Fortification and Nutrition Tips Session. The program emphasized the importance of “Eat Right” through practical guidance and engaged participants in interactive sessions.
The training program serves as a milestone in the ongoing efforts to enhance public health awareness and practices. The participants expressed their gratitude for enriching experience and pledged to implement the acquired knowledge in their respective roles.
