Awareness programme on EPF held

Leh, Sept 17: An awareness programme related to Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) and Miscellaneous Provision Act, 1952 and schemes framed thereafter was conducted by Regional Provident Fund Commissioner (RPFC)-I, Rizwan Uddin, at Moravian Mission School in Leh today.
RPFC-I Rizwan highlighted the Employees’ Pension Scheme 1995 as employees of UT Ladakh were unable to avail benefits of the pension in the pre-UT set-up. The quantum of insurance was raised almost ten times in JKEPFO under the EDLI scheme.
RPFC-I Rizwan also answered the questions raised by the employers. He advised all the employers to remit EPF of all eligible employees on time to extend social security to all the employees.
Employees and employers’ representatives of schools/hotels/contractors from Leh participated in the awareness programme.
