Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav: Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 held at Tehsil Tai Suru

KARGIL, AUGUST 27, 2021: As a part of the series of events held in connection with Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, volunteers of Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Kargil organized Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 at Tehsil Taisuru here on Thursday.
The freedom run was flagged off by Tehsildar Tai Suru Sajjad Hussain from Government Girls High School Panikhar which culminated at Government Higher Secondary School Panikhar.
Principal Government Higher Secondary School Panikhar Tsewang Dorjay Alchi, In Charge Police Post Panikhar Muhammad Ali, teaching and non-teaching staff of the concerned schools and students were present on the occasion.
More than 200 students, teaching and non-teaching staff and volunteers of NYK participated in the freedom run.
The programme commenced with the National Anthem followed by a pledge ceremony.
The speakers on the occasion while underlining the importance of physical activities for healthy life stressed the students to perform physical exercise for at least half an honor daily to remain physically and mentally fit.
National Youth Volunteer Muhammad Muntazir thanked the guests and participants for making the event successful. He also expressed gratitude to the Executive Councillor Works Aga Syed Abbass Razvi for arranging refreshment for the participants on the occasion.
