CEC Dr Akhoon calls on Chief Justice of J&K and Ladakh, Tashi Rabstan.
Kargil, Sept 20, 2024: Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today called on the Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, Justice Tashi Rabstan.
During the meeting, the CEC extended his heartfelt congratulations to Justice Tashi Rabstan for his assuming the position as Chief Justice of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. He said it is an honour for the whole Ladakh as he is the first Chief Justice from Ladakh.
Dr. Akhoon highlighted the importance of opening a Circuit Bench of the Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court in Kargil. The CEC stressed that establishing this bench would significantly benefit the people of Kargil by offering easier access to justice and resolving legal matters without the need for long-distance travel.

Additionally, Dr. Akhoon raised other public issues, requesting the judiciary’s support to ensure the welfare of the local population.
