CEC Kargil conducts meeting with villagers of Sapi to discuss arrangements ahead of proposed visit of His Holiness 14th Dalai Lama.
Kargil, June 20, 2024: Chairman and Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today held a meeting with the villagers of Sapi village to discuss the arrangements put in place for the proposed visit of His Holiness 14th Dalai Lama this year.
The meeting was attended by Councilor Choskore Constituency Nasir Hussain Munshi, Tsewang Thinless and other members of LBA Kargil.
The villagers informed the CEC that the invitation letter has been submitted to his Holiness Dali Lama Ji office requesting him to visit Sapi village this year. They also informed the CEC that the official date of the visit of His Holiness has not been confirmed yet but they are hopeful to receive the official dates soon.
CEC Kargil said that the Hill Council Kargil along with District Administration will put in place all necessary arrangements before the visit.
The CEC also assured that he will fix the date and visit to Sapi village and on spot will take note of necessary arrangements and will make sure the visit of His Holiness Dalai Lama a successful visit.
