CEC Kargil, Div Com Ladakh discuss various issues with regard to recent flash flood situation, issues of Taxi Union Kargil

KARGIL, AUGUST 10, 2021: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan and Divisional Commissioner Ladakh Saugat Biswas discussed various issues with regard to the recent flash flood situation in different areas of Kargil District besides the issues of Taxi Union Kargil here today.
Executive Councillor for Health Mohsin Ali and Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve were also present during the meeting.
During the course of the meeting, the Div Com Ladakh appreciated the swift action on part of the LAHDC and District Administration Kargil for on spot assessment of the damages and support extended to the affected families during the recent flash floods in several areas of the district.
CEC Kargil urged the Div Com Ladakh for timely assistance including compensation to all affected families.
With regard to the issues of Taxi Union Kargil, CEC Feroz Khan underlined the need for early resolution of the matter. He also urged the Div Com Ladakh for early notification of revised fares and taxi booking rates.
Div Com Ladakh informed the CEC that the UT Administration is working towards an amicable resolution of the matter by taking all stakeholders into confidence. He also requested the CEC Kargil to intervene in the matter by taking up the issue with the CEC Leh and help find an amicable solution of the issue.
The Div Com said that the UT Administration is fully committed to address the issues and concerns of the flood affected areas, and all out measures are being taken to speed up the flood restoration works to mitigate the problems of the affected families.
