CEC Kargil expresses gratitude to HLG Ladakh for taking up various issues pertaining to Zojila axis.

Kargil, Jan 14: Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today expressed gratitude to Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor Ladakh, Brig (Dr.) B. D Mishra for taking up various issues pertaining to Zojila axis with DG BRO, Chief Engineers of Project Vijayak and Project Beacon.
The CEC thanked the Union Territory Administration and BRO for keeping the Zojila Pass open in winter.
Dr Jaffer appreciated the HLG’s direction to BRO regarding the clearance work at Zojila from both sides by Project Vijayak and Project Beacon and the need to continue to move forward without stopping at the zero point.
The CEC added that this decision will ease out the process of clearance of snow and reopening of Zojila pass on time.
Pertinently, the issue was earlier discussed by the CEC Kargil with the Hon’ble LG Ladakh.
