CEC Kargil visits various locations of hospital road to address encroachments.
Kargil, Aug 01, 2024: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today held a meeting and visited various locations of hospital road to address the issue of encroachments by Army.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Kargil; Superintending Engineer PWD, Exen R&B; Tehsildar Kargil; Officers from Army, representative of BSNL besides other concerned officials were present during the meeting.
Earlier, the CEC Kargil visited various locations of the hospital road and identified various spots of encroachments on the road. The CEC Kargil directed SE PWD, ACR, Exen R&B and Army officers to visit the locations and identify the encroachment areas on the spot.
During the meeting, SE PWD informed the CEC and Army officials that the DPR of the double lane road for the hospital along with dividers has been submitted to UT Administration. He also informed the CEC that the encroachments at various locations will affect the proper widening of the hospital road.
The CEC Kargil said that hospital road is one of the important and emergency utility roads especially for the patients in emergency cases which cannot be compromised.
He directed the Army officials to remove all the angle irons, poles and other encroachments on the road at the earliest. He also directed representatives of BSNL to remove the BSNL poles from the road and erect at the edge.
