Chairman DDMA Leh visits Rumbak containment village
Leh, May 05: Chairman, DDMA/ DC Leh, Shrikant Suse, visited the Rumbak village, notified as a containment zone, to take stock of the arrangements, including the availability of medicines, rations and other essentials.
Chairman, DDMA Leh, was apprised of the lack of communication facility and the requirement of the additional medical staff at the medical sub-centre.
Chairman, DDMA Leh, directed the concerned officials to provide a satellite phone facility, additional medical staff and provide a government vehicle as an ambulance for emergency use. He further directed the officials to provide sufficient oxygen cylinders at the sub-centre in the village.
Chairman, DDMA Leh, shared that the District Administration has assigned nodal officers to provide all the essential commodities to the village.
He directed medical officials to conduct active surveillance by identifying contacts of confirmed and suspect cases, monitoring the contacts daily and creating awareness among the community about disease prevention and home quarantine.
