    Community Health Centre of Padum, Zanskar will serve as New District Hospital of Zanskar: Advisor Ladakh .

    Leh, January 06, 2025: To develop the medical infrastructure in UT Ladakh, The Advisor to the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor UT Ladakh, Dr. Pawan Kotwal chaired a meeting to review the progress of construction works of Community Health Centre (CHC) of Padum Zanskar. The meeting was held the Civil Secretariat Leh.
    The Centre is going to built at 13.79 Acre ( 55584.00 sq. Mt) with the project cost of 81.82 cr. The designing of Health Centre is entirely based upon climate and culture of Padum Zanskar.
    The concerned officials of CPWD and DLF Consultsnats gave a comprehensive Power Point presentation covering key issues related to the progress of Community Health Centre. During the meeting, key features of the CHC was discussed.
    The Advisor reviewed the status of ongoing construction works of Community Health Centre Padum Zanskar infrastructure development, equipment installation, and utility provisions.
    Concerned officials presented an updates on the project timeline, budget utilization, and measures taken to ensure quality construction work.
    Emphasizing the importance of timely completion, the Advisor directed the officials to expedite pending works while maintaining high construction standards. He also stressed the need for ensuring adequate medical facilities, like MRI and CT Scan and patient-friendly amenities at the CHC to enhance healthcare services for the local population.
    The meeting addressed logistical challenges due to Ladakh’s unique terrain and weather conditions, workforce mobilization, and adherence to safety protocols. The Advisor urged officials to resolve any bottlenecks in coordination with relevant authorities to prevent project delays. While reviewing the project he said that CHC Zanskar should act as district hospital.
    Keeping in view the local climate of the region, he said that put the robust electrical system in the Centre, no false ceiling, follow the tested Technology and benchmark should be the SNM hospital Leh.
    The meeting concluded with a commitment to complete the CHC construction at the earliest to provide improved healthcare services to the residents of Leh.
    The meeting was attended by the Administrative Secretary of Medical and health UT Ladakh; Director of Health Services, Executive Engineer, CPWD Mr. Anand Gupta and Senior Manager Associate Mr. Nipendra Sharma DLF Consultants.
