DC Kargil chairs meeting on proposed Kargil City CCTV Surveillance Project.
Kargil, February 24, 2025: Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Shrikant Suse today chaired a meeting to review the proposed Kargil City CCTV Surveillance Project.
The meeting was attended by ASP Kargil, Mujeeb Ur Rehman, ADC Kargil, Ghulam Mohiudin Wani, Executive Engineer R&B Kargil, Sadiq Ali Wazir, GM NHIDCL, Executive Officer Municipal Committee Kargil, Arifa Iqbal, ACD, Razia Khatoon, AD Tourism, Rehmatullah Butt, officials from BRO and other concerned departments.
The meeting included a detailed discussion on all aspects of the project, which will cover installation of CCTVs at key locations such as major roads, highways, hospitals, markets, schools, and other important locations in the city.
Consultant of the Ladakh Police Department from KPMG designated for Designing the IT Architecture of the Kargil CCTV Surveillance Project gave a detailed presentation on the initiative.
He outlined the various aspects of the project which include state-of-the-art video analytics solutions using AI, ML which would automate the process of traffic violations, law and order maintenance, surveillance against antisocial elements, wrong garbage disposal, and disaster/fire monitoring
State-of-the-art Command and Control Centre will be developed as a part of project to monitor overall CCTVs surveillance in Kargil.
The Deputy Commissioner instructed all the relevant stakeholder departments and officers to examine proposed CCTV locations together with any other additional requirements and submit their requirements and suggestions within two days. These requirements will be considered for inclusion in upcoming project.
