    DC Leh Chairs meeting to discuss CSS under Aspirational Block Programme and Vibrant Village Programme

    Leh, February 15, 2024: Deputy Commissioner, Leh Santosh Sukhadeve chaired a meeting to discuss the status of Centrally Sponsored Schemes under Aspirational Block Programme (ABP) and Vibrant Village Programme (VVP) on February 14.
    During the meeting, DC Sukhadeve reviewed the status of various sectors including Health and Nutrition, Education, Agriculture and Allied Services, Basic Infrastructure, and Social Development within the Rupsho Aspirational Block. He provided directives to the concerned officials to diligently implement the instructions and to ensure that data on the portal is updated by the end of next week.
    Highlighting the significance of the Vibrant Village Programme (VVP), DC Sukhadeve announced the addition of new schemes under CSS and emphasized that 95.64% saturation of schemes has been achieved. Notably, PM Suraksha Bima Yojana coverage stands at 85% while Ayushman Bharat covers 94% of the eligible population. To further extend coverage, he urged Sub Divisional Magistrates (SDM) Nyoma and Durbuk to facilitate transportation for residents and coordinate with Block Medical Officers to expedite registrations under Ayushman Bharat Scheme.
    Expressing concern over the slow progress of banking schemes such as PM Suraksha Bima Yojana, PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, and Atal Pension Yojana, DC Sukhadeve instructed concerned officers to ensure timely progress and substantial improvement in these areas.
    Furthermore, DC Sukhadeve directed all departments to concentrate on achieving 100% saturation of CSS and covering every 35 villages under the Vibrant Village Programme. He specifically directed the Chief Medical Officer with ensuring the saturation of Ayushman Bharat schemes and directed Bank Managers to focus on achieving full coverage of Suraksha Bima Yojana at the household level.
    To enhance accountability and transparency, he mandated all departments to create activity plans and banners for the Vibrant Village Programme, and to submit data on targets and achievements of PM Garib Kalyan Yojana, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, Kisan Credit Card (KCC), Poshan Abhiyan, and PM Vishwakarma for each of the 35 vibrant villages.
    Lastly, he directed all Heads of Departments to redouble their efforts to achieve the saturation targets set under the Aspirational Block Programme and Vibrant Village Programme.
