DC Leh chairs meeting to discuss job fair in UT Ladakh

Leh, March 9: Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Shrikant Suse today conducted a preliminary meeting to discuss the job fair to be held soon in UT Ladakh.

DC Leh Shrikant Suse enquired about the possibilities of engaging locals in skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled labour in various departments and agencies of the administration.

DC Leh Shrikant Suse directed the concerned officials to collect data on the current position/status of the engagement of locals and submit a proposal for engaging people with the required skill set. He impressed upon the officials that the departments and agencies should submit the said proposals before the next meeting.

Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Leh; Under Secretary, Labour, Employment Department, UT Ladakh, officials from various departments, including PDD, ASH&F, Agriculture, Handicraft, Cooperative, Horticulture, Industry, Revenue, Handloom; officials from the banking sector, NHPC, SECI and officers from GREF and BRO took part in the meeting.
