DC Leh Santosh Sukhadeve chairs DLTC meeting for financial year 2024-25.

Leh, Nov 8, 2023: The meeting of the District Level Technical Committee (DLTC) for the financial year 2024-25 was held today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve at the DC conference hall, Leh.
The committee discussed the uniform scale of finance for a wide array of agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, goatery, poultry, fisheries, and allied activities prevalent in Leh district. The deliberations aimed to ensure equitable financial support for these critical sectors.
During the meeting, Manager, Lead Bank Leh, Tsering Wangmo representing the convener of DLTC, emphasized the importance of setting the scale of finance for various agricultural and allied activities for the upcoming fiscal year 2024-2025.
The committee fixed the scale of finance (SOF) for Leh district. Notably, the committee headed by the Chairman decided to increase the scale of finance for apricot and apple crops by 10%, thereby setting it at Rs. 40,000 annually based on the inputs given by the stakeholders.
Furthermore, in a move to improve the aquaculture sector, the committee allocated Rs. 3 lakh for Hatchery and Recirculatory Aquaculture System (RAS) to support and enhance fisheries and related activities in Leh district.
The meeting was attended by Chief Agriculture Officer, Leh (Secretary DLTC) and Members of DLTC including Chief Horticulture Officer, Leh ; Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Leh ; Assistant Director Fisheries, Leh; DDM NABARD, Leh; Representative SKUAST, Leh; Convenor UTLBC, LEH Tsering Morup; Head ICAR,CAZRI, RRS, Leh; Director LEDeG, Leh; Deputy Director LEHO, Leh; District Sheep Husbandry Officer Leh. Besides, Tsering Motup (Farmer and DLTC member) and Tsering Angchok (Farmer and DLTC Member) attended the meeting.
