DC Leh Santosh Sukhdeve reviews implementation of VDVK scheme in Leh.

Leh, December 4, 2024: The Deputy Commissioner Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve convenes meeting to review the functioning of machinery provided by TRIFED under Van Dhan Vikas Yojana scheme to 05 Blocks in Leh District at VC Room, DC Office, Leh on November 25, 2024.
During the meeting, it was informed that machineries in 2 blocks – Chuchot and Durbuk are properly installed while in remaining 3 blocks – Panamik, Nyoma and Skyurbuchan, identification of building/ land are still pending as the machineries are very big to fit in existing infrastructure.
The Deputy Commissioner Leh directed the officials to identify existing processing units who can accommodate the machineries or old buildings or other potential infrastructure to keep the machineries. He emphasised on effective utilisation of machinery and equipment for benefit of SHGs in rural areas.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Deputy Commissioner Ghulam Mohd, Assistant Director Rural Development Department Leh, BDOs, District Programme Manager NRLM and other officials.
