DDMA Leh strengthens COVID-19 surveillance, testing mechanisms Compulsory institutional quarantine till negative result of RTPCR test
Leh, April 28: The District Administration, Leh is working in full swing to tackle the rising Covid-19 cases and has strengthened surveillance mechanisms for incoming passengers via road/air.
In this context, the local inbound passengers, including students and commoners, coming without the mandatory negative RT PCR reports are being institutionally quarantined till their negative results are declared.
The District Administration has made all the necessary and elaborate arrangements such as hiring of hotels/guest houses for the purpose of institutional quarantine, dedicated transport facility from the airport.
Nodal officers, assistant nodal officers are working round the clock for smooth coordination between all departments such as transport, health, MCL etc.
All operations are being monitored by Covid-19 command centre of DDMA Leh under the close supervision of Chairman, DDMA/ DC Leh for effective management of the process.
All passengers are being provided boarding and lodging with proper sanitation of rooms and results of tests are given in the shortest possible time so that they do not face any difficulty. The administration is also providing quick medical attention in case of any emergency.
DDMA Leh appeals to all passengers particularly students and parents to support administration in implementation of quarantine SOPs.
