Delegation comprising Nursing Orderly & Safaiwala calls on Hon’ble Lt Governor Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd).

Leh, Sept 02, 2023: A delegation comprising Nursing Orderly and Safaiwala led by Smt Tsering Dolma called on the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd), at Raj Niwas. Deputy Secretary, Shri Zakir Hussain, was present in the meeting.
Smt Dolma informed the HLG that they have been working in the Health Department on contractual basis as Nursing Orderly and Safaiwala since 2009. She also informed that two doctors and one safaiwala were regularised in 2006 when their case was put up to the Health and Medical Education Department, J&K. She further informed that their regularisation case was in the final stage before Ladakh became a union territory.
Smt Dolma informed that their cases were not considered for regularisation and requested HLG’s intervention for the regularisation of their services.
Deputy Secretary, Shri Zakir Hussain informed the HLG that a meeting will be held on September 04 in which their cases along with several other cases will be discussed.
The HLG instructed Shri Zakir Hussain to look into their case and take a decision within the rules and laws.
