    Delegations from Adison Equipment Company, Art of Living & Ex-Servicemen Society Liker call on Hon’ble Lt Governor Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd).

    Leh, Aug 09, 2023: A delegation from Adison Equipment Company, New Delhi led by Shri Suresh Choudhary and Shri Loveneesh Arya called on the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd), at Raj Niwas. Secretary to HLG, Shri Ravinder Kumar was present in the meeting.
    Shri Suresh informed HLG that the company is the channel partner of leading Point of Care Biomedical Pvt Ltd (POCL) device manufacturers, including Abbott POC and Boditech Med Inc Korea which are providing innovative in-vitro diagnostic (IVD) products for more than two decades as major players in the POCT device market. He also informed about the complications faced by patients in ICU and various biomarkers such as C-reactive protein (CRP) and Interleukin 6 (IL-6) which are sensitive predictors of the clinical condition of the patient. He further informed that judicious use of various inflammatory, cardiac, coagulation biomarkers, electrolysers and Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) help in disease prognostication and treatment.
    Shri Suresh apprised HLG of the benefits of these tests, especially for medical staff to take quick clinical decisions and provide the best possible medical solution to the patient. He informed that their medical devices are used at the best medical institutes. He also informed about the benefits of Arterial Blood Gas (ABG), a portable machine which helps in analysing blood in five minutes. Shri Suresh informed that the machine is beneficial for cardiac and neuro patients.
    Shri Suresh highlighted the importance of such modern medical equipment for the benefit of the people of Ladakh.
    The HLG appreciated Shri Suresh and Loveneesh for providing medical healthcare facilities to the patients and stated that he would discuss this with Advisor Dr Pawan Kotwal, who is the administrative secretary of Health and Medical Education.
    A delegation from Art of Living led by Shri Kiran Pujari and Smt Tenzin Diskit called on the HLG at Raj Niwas. Secretary to HLG, Shri Ravinder Kumar was present in the meeting.
    The delegates shared the concept note for organic farming training programme for Ladakhi youth at the Center of Excellence, Bengaluru prepared by Shri Deepak Sharma of Sri Sri Rural Development Programme Trust, the Art of Living International Centre, Bengaluru. They informed that the training programme for the farmers has been prepared keeping in mind the potential of food processing and products such as apricot, apples and sea buckthorn produced in Ladakh. They also requested for allotment of land so that they could set up an International Yoga Studies Centre at Ladakh to promote yoga and wellness in the region. The delegates informed that they would provide Ayurveda medication, skill development training and yoga trainings at the Centre. They informed about the distribution of oxygen concentrators for health institutes in rural areas of Ladakh for the benefit of patients.
    The HLG appreciated their efforts of providing training to youth on organic farming and asked them to meet Executive Councillor, LAHDC Leh, Shri Stanzin Chosphel in this regard. He inquired about the possibility of collaborating with the University of Ladakh (UoL) and Central Institute of Buddhist Studies (CIBS) International Yoga Studies Centre as both these institutes have existing infrastructure. The HLG instructed Shri Ravinder Kumar, IAS, to look into the matter of distribution of oxygen concentrators.
    A delegation from Ex-Servicemen Society Liker led by its President, Hon Lieutenant Dorje Murup, called on the HLG at Raj Niwas. Secretary to HLG, Shri Ravinder Kumar, IAS, was present in the meeting.
    Shri Dorje apprised HLG of the demand raised by them regarding the construction of the Auditorium Hall/Museum in the name of Ashok Chakra winner Hon Naib Subedar Chhering Motup, at Liker village. They requested for HLG’s intervention to take the necessary steps in this regard.
    The HLG suggested naming the upcoming office of the Sub-District Magistrate at Liker in the name of Ashok Chakra winner Hon Naib Subedar Chhering Motup. He instructed Shri Ravinder Kumar, IAS, to forward the letter shared by the delegates to Deputy Commissioner Leh for necessary action in this regard.
