    Delegations from Turtuk & Wolfe Technologies call on Hon’ble Lt Governor Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd).

    Leh, Aug 31, 2023: A delegation from Turtuk led by Shri Mehdi Shah called on the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd), at Raj Niwas. Secretary to HLG, Shri Ravinder Kumar, was present in the meeting.
    Shri Mehdi requested the HLG for the inclusion of Turtuk village under the Vibrant Villages Programme for its overall development and to improve the livelihood opportunities of the villagers. He also requested to export apricots grown in the village to domestic and international markets under central government schemes. He also raised several other issues, including the development of infrastructure such as roads and bridges in the village; the need for diversification of livelihood opportunities by providing vocational training and skill development trainings to villagers; establishment of healthcare facilities and medical services for the people of Turtuk; provide support to students to ensure students have access to quality education; promote tourism activities in the village and provide counselling and support services to the people of Turtuk, etc. He also requested for road connectivity to Farol in Turtuk.
    The HLG assured to look into their matter and take necessary action on their issues on a priority basis for the development of Turtuk village.
    A delegation comprising Shri Azhar Sultan and Mudasir Eleyas from Wolfe Technologies called on the HLG at Raj Niwas.
    Shri Azhar apprised the HLG of their IT start-up and informed that they have been working in this field for the last seven years. He expressed the desire to work with the government on IT projects but informed that they are not eligible to participate in the bidding process.
    The HLG asked Azhar to meet the Secretary, IT Department and discuss the matter with him so that necessary steps can be taken in this regard.
