Department of Labor Kargil, EPF Organization UT J&K and Ladakh organizes awareness workshop on Employees Provident Fund

KARGIL, SEPTEMBER 16, 2021: Department of Labor Kargil in collaboration with EPF Organization UT J&K and Ladakh organized an awareness workshop on Employees Provident Fund here today.
Regional Provident Fund Commissioner UT Ladakh and UT J&K Rizwanuddin was the resource person on the occasion.
Assistant Labour Commissioner Kargil Raziya Khatoon, principals of various private schools and representatives from various establishments including NHIDCL and other establishments attended the workshop.
Speaking on the occasion, the Regional Provident Fund Commissioner UT Ladakh and UT J&K enlightened the participants about the eligibility criteria, benefits and process of EPF whereby. He also explained in detail the benefits like corpus for retirement, emergency corpus, easy premature withdrawal, pension scheme for EPF account holders, loan against PF, insurance schemes and other related aspects.
Earlier during the welcome speech, ALC Kargil Raziya Khatoon expressed gratitude to the Regional Provident Fund Commissioner UT Ladakh and UT J&K for enlightening the EPF beneficiaries about various benefits of the scheme. She urged the Provident Fund Commissioner for conducting similar awareness programmes in future on regular basis for EPF beneficiaries in the sub divisions as well.
Later, the participants raised their queries which were answered by the Regional Provident Fund Commissioner.
