Director, Deputy Director General, DOT meet CEC Dr Jaffer at Council Secretariat.

Kargil, Dec 15: Director, Department of Telecommunication Govt. of India, Sanjay Kumar, Dy. Director General Department of Telecommunication J&K Circle, VK Surinder today met Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon at Council Secretariat, Kargil.
Executive Councilor, Revenue, Tourism, PHE/I&FC & Urban Development, the Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil and Chief Planning Officer, Kargil were also present in the meeting.
During the meeting the Director, DOT Govt. of India briefed about various schemes running under BSNL Telecommunication sector, like 4G saturation program, Mission Uttarkash scheme and Bharat Net.
The CEC reviewed the outreach and facilities being provided by BNSL and focused on facilitating universal and equitable access to connectivity for growth and development throughout Kargil district with a special focus on far-off and rural areas with no network.
The Chairman/CEC stressed to pace up the works executed by the BSNL in Kargil District especially the erection of BSNL Towers in various villages.
