    District Administration Kargil organizes workshop on Good Governance Week 2024.
    Kargil, Dec 24, 2024: District Administration Kargil today organized a workshop on Good Governance Week today at District headquarters.
    Kacho Asfandyar Khan, a retired IAS officer, attended the program as the chief guest virtually. The workshop was also attended by Deputy Commissioner, CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse; ADC Kargil, Ghulam Mohi-Ud-Din; Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Liyaqat Ali; Chief Engineer PHE; Maqbool Hussain; District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Dr. Hussnain; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Abdul Majid Tantray; Assistant Commissioner Development, Razia Khatoon; Chief Agriculture Officer, Ashiq Hussain; Assistant Director Tourism, Rahmatullah Butt; District Program Officer ICDS, Nargis Bano; Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Dr. Gulzar Hussain; Deputy Registrar Cooperatives, Dr. Zakir Hussain; District Informatics Officer, Iftikhar Hussain and other district officers.
    The DC Kargil delivered the welcome speech, emphasizing that “Good Governance Week” reflects the vision of the Government and administration to ensure public service delivery at doorsteps.
    He emphasized the objective of Worksop is to learn from best practices of different departments which have brought transformative changes in the lives of people and making vision for developed Kargil taking into consideration of aspirations of various sections of society.
    The chief guest, Kacho Asfandyar Khan, expressed gratitude for the invitation and highlighted that good governance means transparency, accountability, and obstacle-free service delivery.
    In his remarks he noted that the week, running from December 19 to 25, coincides with the 100th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who is celebrated for his legacy in governance.
    Kacho Asfandyar Khan also addressed the challenges faced by administrative machinery and measures need to be taken to prioritise public welfare in the district.
    He shared several future initiatives which need to be taken in the sectors of education, health , tourism and access to drinking water.
    ADC Kargil, Ghulam Mohi-Ud-Din, highlighted the hard work of every department in achieving targets and delivering quality services at the doorstep of the people.
    District officers from various departments also shared their inputs, achievements and initiatives taken by various departments.
