Kargil, October 07, 2024: The District Police Kargil today successfully organized a district-level quiz cum debate competition under the Civil Action program, drawing enthusiastic participation from students across various blocks and tehsils of Kargil. The event aimed to promote intellectual engagement and teamwork among the youth of the region.
The competition featured teams from across Kargil competing on a variety of topics, showcasing their knowledge, communication skills, and critical thinking abilities.
Team Kargil emerged victorious, securing the 1st position, followed by Team Drass in 2nd place, and Team Wakha in 3rd place.
The event was graced by the presence of Shree Ram R (IPS), Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kargil, as the Chief Guest. In his address, SSP Kargil commended the participants for their hard work and dedication, emphasizing the importance of such events in fostering a spirit of healthy competition, intellectual growth, and civic responsibility. He appreciated the remarkable performances of the students and encouraged them to continue pursuing excellence in both academics and extracurricular activities.
Following the competition, a plantation drive was conducted with the participation of SSP Kargil, police officials, and the students. The drive aimed to raise environmental awareness and contribute to the beautification and sustainability of Kargil. Together, they planted several saplings, reinforcing the importance of environmental conservation and community engagement.
The event concluded on a high note, with the winners receiving certificates and cash reward from SSP Kargil, and all participants were lauded for their efforts.
