EC Education visits educational institutions at GM Pore.
Kargil, Sept 02, 2024: Executive Councillor, Education, Zakir Hussain today conducted an extensive visit to several educational institutions at GM Pore including Govt. Girls High School GM Pore, Govt. Middle School Gound, Yokma, Govt. Primary School Gonma Horlam, and Govt. Middle School Gaskal.
He was accompanied by Councillor GM Pore, Deputy CEO, and Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Sankoo. During the visit, the EC interacted with students to discuss their academic progress, review residential class preparations, and address concerns raised by the Village Education Committee.
At Government Middle School Gound Yokma, the EC instructed the SVD Sankoo to take necessary actions on the issues highlighted. He emphasized the importance of creating winter-friendly school buildings by instructing the concerned authorities to expedite the solarization of school structures. He assured to redress the issues related to electric poles, toilet facilities, water supply and compound walling.
EC, Zakir encouraged the Council to adopt a school as Council Model School, which would serve as a focal point for facilitating educational advancements for students in the area.
